EBC

At EBC, success goes beyond numbers. It’s about making a positive impact on lives, communities, and the future. This philosophy guides our partnership with the Shakti Regeneration Institute (SRI), a collaboration focused on empowering marginalised communities, preserving Indigenous knowledge, and advancing sustainability.

Empowering Education in India

In West Bengal, the Ramakrishna Vedanta Vidyapith school has been transforming the lives of children and women from disadvantaged backgrounds for over 25 years. EBC’s partnership with SRI supports 50 students by providing educational materials, uniforms, and vocational training in sewing.

David Barrett, CEO of EBC Financial Group (UK) Ltd, shares, "At EBC, we recognise that the true power of education creates the foundation for transforming societies and creating pathways to lasting change. Our partnership with Shakti Regeneration Institute is more than a sponsorship, it reflects our dedication to uplifting the next generation, as we support the Ramakrishna Vedanta Vidyapith school in equipping marginalised children with the tools they need to thrive."

Amplifying Indigenous Voices Through Film

EBC is proud to support the documentary #TheRegenerationGeneration, directed by Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri. This film is sparking vital conversations on sustainability, ecosystem preservation, and the importance of Indigenous heritage. By supporting this project, EBC ensures that these often-overlooked perspectives become part of global discussions, particularly in financial and corporate circles.

Indrani, an award-winning filmmaker and advocate for Indigenous rights, is bringing these crucial issues to the forefront, with contributions from Nobel laureates, business leaders, and Indigenous activists. The documentary focuses on the challenges faced by Indigenous communities, especially in the Amazon, where environmental degradation threatens their culture and the planet’s biodiversity.

Ajay Pal-Chaudhuri, Chairman and Founder of Shakti Regeneration Institute, shared, "We are thrilled to announce our partnership with EBC Financial Group, a collaboration that embodies the convergence of corporate responsibility and global impact. Together, we embark on a transformative journey, combining our strengths in education and ecological advocacy to empower communities worldwide. With EBC's support, we are not only empowering marginalised children through education but also raising global awareness about the critical challenges facing Indigenous communities and the plight of vulnerable ecosystems."

Advancing Sustainability Conversations with Oxford University

EBC is also collaborating with the University of Oxford to sponsor episodes of What Economists Really Do, which cover essential topics like Macroeconomics and Climate Change. This partnership aims to bridge academic research with practical, real-world applications, enabling individuals to make informed decisions for a sustainable future.

"Through our involvement in the #TheRegenerationGeneration 2025 documentary, we are amplifying the voices of Indigenous communities and supporting the preservation of their cultural and environmental heritage," explains Barrett. "Similarly, our collaboration with the University of Oxford's Department of Economics on their WERD program underscores our dedication to enhancing global understanding of critical economic and societal issues. By investing in education at every level, we aim to create opportunities, promote equity, and address the challenges of our time. These efforts align seamlessly with our core values of integrity, responsibility, and sustainability."

Shaping a Better Tomorrow

EBC Financial Group is committed to using finance as a tool for positive change. Whether it is supporting education in West Bengal or integrating Indigenous sustainability practices into global financial conversations, we are focused on delivering tangible, lasting impact. This is not a side project; it’s the core of how we approach financial leadership.
