Chinese payment giants revive effort to accept foreign credit cards

Chinese tech giants Tencent Holdings and Ant Group have announced that they will address the issue of foreign visitors being unable to use credit cards in China by allowing users to link international credit cards to their platforms. Tencent, the operator of WeChat and WeChat Pay, stated that WeChat users overseas will be able to link Visa credit cards to their WeChat app starting next month.
