It can be said that the strong dollar is the main cause of the recent slump in gold prices. The short-term gold price has rebounded to the key pressure level near 1660. If it cannot keep moving higher, we can go short with the target at the 1600 mark; but if it rebounds above 1660, it is expected to rise further to near 1680.
